U2 accountant Bowen joins backers of Soundwave's music app start-up
Trevor Bowen, the accountant and business adviser to rock band U2, has emerged as an investor in hot Dublin start-up Soundwave.
Mr Bowen, a 16-year veteran with Principle Management, which was set up by u2 manager Paul McGuinness, is the latest investor in the company, along with Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, as well as ACT Venture Capital and others.
Brendan O'Driscoll, the 25-year-old chief executive of Soundwave said: "We launched Soundwave about three weeks ago on Android and iPhone and have been blown away by the explosive growth – we're closing in on 200,000 downloads already, and have tracked over four million songs."
